Baofeng UV-5R Radio

The Baofeng UV-5R is a compact dual-band radio operating in the VHF and UHF bands. It can easily tune into shared frequencies in both bands, marine frequencies, repeaters, PMR channels, and more. This radio is compatible with headsets and PTT buttons with a Kenwood 2-pin connector.
The Baofeng UV-5R operates in the VHF band with a frequency range of 136-174 MHz and the UHF band with a range of 400-520 MHz. This makes it ideal for a wide range of uses including amateur radio, airsoft games, and other outdoor activities.
The dual-band display allows you to monitor two frequencies simultaneously, which is useful for tracking various channels. The dual watch function monitors two frequencies at once, ensuring you don't miss any important communication.
The Baofeng UV-5R is equipped with a modern DPS processor for signal processing and offers a switchable power output of 8W/5W/1W for VHF and 7W/4W/1W for UHF. It also allows switching between high and low power and has 128 memory channels. It provides a wide selection of 50 CTCSS and 104 DCS options for clear and seamless transmission.
Other useful features include memory naming during PC programming, a VOX function with 10 sensitivity levels, colored backlight display (3 colors), and squelch adjustable in 9 levels.
The radio also includes channel width selection (Wide/Narrow), features like ANI-ID, PTT-ID, Power Save for battery saving, and a sensitive FM radio with the option of listening to the radio while simultaneously monitoring a channel.
The radio is equipped with a LED flashlight, voice navigation in English and Chinese, an LCD display, a low battery indicator, a Roger beep function, a time-out timer, and a key lock function.
